1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to Shop Seif. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services. By using our website, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return & Exchange Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

By using our services, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract
  • The information you give us is accurate and complete
  • You will comply with these Terms and applicable laws

Shop Seif is a luxury home décor brand and design house specializing in made-to-order wallcoverings, rugs, fabrics, and tapestries. We are operated by [The Shop Seif], Egypt.

3. Products and Pricing

Product information. We display our products as accurately as we can, but colors and textures may differ on screen from the real product, and dimensions are approximate. Because our products are handcrafted, slight variations in color, texture, pattern, and size are normal and are not defects. We can provide samples on request. Product availability and offerings may change.

Pricing.

  • Prices are in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) unless stated otherwise.
  • Prices may change, but a change will not affect an order we have already accepted.
  • If we find a pricing error, we may correct it. We will contact you before processing the order so you can confirm or cancel.
  • Prices do not include shipping, customs duties, or taxes unless stated.
  • Promotions are subject to the terms stated at the time of the offer.

4. Custom and Made-to-Order Orders

  • Design approval. You must approve the final design, specifications, and measurements before production begins. You are responsible for checking them carefully.
  • Cancellation. You may cancel before production begins [subject to non-refundable deposits]. Once production begins, the order cannot be cancelled or changed.
  • Final sale. Custom items cannot be returned or exchanged, except where they arrive damaged, defective, or different from what you approved (see our Return & Exchange Policy).
  • Timelines. Production and delivery times are estimates.
  • Your materials. If you send us images, artwork, or other materials, you confirm you have the right to use them. We will use them only to quote, design, and produce your order, and will not share or reuse them without your permission.
  • Our designs. We keep all intellectual property rights in our original designs. Buying a product does not give you the right to reproduce our designs.

5. Orders and Payment

Placing orders. Your order is an offer to buy. A confirmation email that we have received your order is not acceptance. A contract is formed when we send you a separate email confirming that your order has been accepted. We may decline or cancel an order for reasons including product unavailability, pricing or product errors, suspected fraud, or failed payment verification. If we cancel an order after you have paid, we will refund you in full.

Payment.

  • Payment is due in full at purchase [or: a deposit of 50% is due to begin production, with the balance due before shipping].
  • We accept the payment methods shown at checkout.
  • Payments are processed securely by our payment providers. We do not store your full card details.
  • You authorize us to charge the payment method you provide for the total amount of your order.

Cancellation.

  • Standard items: within 24 hours of placing the order.
  • Custom items: before production begins, as described in Section 5.

7. Shipping, Returns, and Refunds

These are covered in full in our Shipping Policy and Return & Exchange Policy, which form part of these Terms. In short:

  • Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.
  • We are responsible for your order until it is delivered to you.
  • You are responsible for giving us an accurate address. Customers outside Egypt are responsible for customs duties, taxes, and import fees.
  • Ready-made items may be returned within 14 days of delivery if they meet the policy conditions.
  • Damaged, defective, or incorrect items must be reported within 7 days of delivery, and we will repair, replace, or refund them.
  • Custom items are final sale, except as stated above.

If these Terms conflict with the Shipping Policy or Return & Exchange Policy, the specific policy applies to shipping and returns.

8. Intellectual Property

Our content. All content on our website, including text, images, designs, patterns, logos, photographs, and videos, belongs to Shop Seif or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Without our written permission, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from it, use our brand name or logos, or use our designs for commercial purposes.

Your content. If you send us reviews, photos, or other content, you keep ownership, but you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and display it for marketing and promotion. We will not show your private project or home photos without your permission, and you can ask us to remove content you have submitted.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use our website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
  • Interfere with the website or try to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Upload viruses or malicious code
  • Harass or impersonate others
  • Scrape or collect data from our website, or use automated tools to access it, without permission

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses.
  • Our total liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product.
  • We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (see Section 15).
  • We do not guarantee that our website will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for fraud, or your rights under consumer protection law.

11. Product Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our products. If an item arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered or approved, we will remedy it as set out in our Return & Exchange Policy. Beyond this and any rights you have by law, we make no other warranties, express or implied. Natural variations in handcrafted products are not defects.

12. Indemnification

You agree to compensate us for losses and reasonable costs arising from your violation of these Terms, your violation of the law or third-party rights, or content you submit that infringes someone else's rights. This does not apply to the extent the loss was caused by our own fault.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our website, you acknowledge it.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Egypt. If you have a problem, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot, either of us may take the dispute to the competent courts of Egypt. Nothing in this section limits your rights under mandatory consumer protection law, including Egypt's Consumer Protection Law (Law No. 181 of 2018), or your right to complain to a consumer protection authority.

15. Events Beyond Our Control

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, supply disruptions, carrier or customs delays, or government actions. If such an event continues for a long time, either of us may cancel the affected order, and we will refund any amount you have paid for goods not delivered.

16. General

  • Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with a new "Last Updated" date and notify you of material changes by email or on our website. Changes apply to orders placed after they take effect. Continuing to use our website means you accept the updated Terms.
  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a right, we have not given it up.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return & Exchange Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Shop Seif.
